The third author we're revealing is Olivia Wylie, author of "Paradise City!"
Olivia Wylie (she/her), is a professional horticulturist and business owner who specializes in the restoration of neglected gardens. When the weather keeps her indoors, she enjoys researching and writing about the plant world, the future, and the complexities of being human. Her solo work is in illustrated non-fiction works of ethnobotany, intended to make the intersection of human history and plant evolution accessible to a wider audience. She lives in Colorado with a very patient husband and a rather impatient cat.

Our second author from the WE CAME TO DANCE anthology is Alexandra Caluen, author of "Speaking of Happiness."
Alexandra Caluen is the author of over fifty contemporary romance novels and novellas featuring F/M, M/M, F/F/M, and M/M/F relationships involving diverse, creative, urban professionals. She lives in Los Angeles and loves to foxtrot. We're thrilled to announce the first of our authors, Jules Vasquez, author of "The Hunter in the Underground!"
Jules Vasquez is nonbinary, queer, an abuse survivor, thrives with a mood disorder, and is proud. Their first novel, Plague City, won the Kenneth Patchen Award for the Innovative Novel from the Journal of Experimental Fiction in 2019. They designed the cover art for Plague. They were head editor of HockSpitSlurp (on hiatus, not forever.) Their chapbooks include Fallout, Saints and Dirty Pictures (little m press, 2009) and Yet Wave (the Lune, 2017). They co-authored No Titles in the Bounds and The Smoke Bar with Leslie D. Soule to be forthcoming with Nat+1, and co-authored a short play Waiting for Samuel Beckett with Leslie D. Soule forthcoming with Shipwrecked Press. Their artwork has been sold widely and even served as album covers. They currently coach with WritebyNight. They enjoy cheap takeout, drone/noise/industrial music, B-rated gangster and horror flicks, and long walks off short piers. Amphibian Press welcomes you to stand up with us as we support Club Q through storytelling. On November 19, 2022, an LGBT community hub and nightclub called Club Q was attacked by a shooter in Colorado Springs. Five people were murdered. Someone tried to destroy not just individual queer folx’ lives, but a safe place for the LGBT community. Someone silenced the music everyone in the club had come to celebrate with gunfire. We can’t let that happen. We came together with authors from around the world to tell stories of queer joy, filled with gender and culture-diverse characters, found family, community solidarity, love, comfort and hope. All proceeds will be donated to Club Q. We'll be revealing the incredible community of authors who came together to make this amazing project possible, so stay tuned! You can find out more, support the project, and share with your friends below! Amphibian Press welcomes you to submit to either (or both) of our amazing 2023 anthologies! The first is We Came to Dance, a multi-genre anthology focusing on queer joy found through music. All proceeds from Dance benefit the community of Club Q in Colorado. The second is Playing With A Full Deck, an anthology set in the dystopian/solarpunk world of Aces High, Jokers Wild. You can learn more about both anthologies, our submission guidelines and more at our submissions page.
Happy pub day to this awesome author duo! Here's the sixth book in their incredible hopepunk series. Follow Tweak and the gang as they fight for freedom and justice--hey, I think we could all use a little revolution these days!
They say to really free your body, you've gotta free your mind… America is waking up. People are standing up for each other and a future worth living in. But they can’t do it alone. Now, they don’t have to. The Democratic State Force is calling in favors across the nation. Members of Base 1407 and hundreds of other teams across the country are teaching the citizens how to fight back on their terms, with tactics that hit the Corporations right where it hurts–in the wallet and the pride. The seven Corporations that think they own the country are scrambling to keep control over the citizens’ communications, their decisions, and their lives. Every dirty trick is coming out of their bags as they lose their grip. It’s going to take a lot to beat them at this game for the country’s soul. Life’s a bitch. She doesn’t play fair. Out-think her with every hand, and you might just win. Grab your copy now!
